Amanda Lucas Owner/BCBA
Amanda Lucas, a dedicated Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and compassionate Owner, hails from the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois, but found her home in the heart of the Oklahoma City metro area in 2019.
Amanda’s educational journey led her to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fort Hays State University in 2017, Followed by her Master’s degree in Psychology, specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis, from Capella University in 2020.
With an exceptional decade of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Amanda has left a positive mark in various settings. Her expertise spans diverse environments, including group homes for both adults and children, specialized schools for individuals with autism, ABA clinics, in-home ABA services, and in-school support. Additionally, she has provided invaluable consultation services to public and private schools, group home agencies, and summer camps, sharing her knowledge with fellow professionals in the field.
Amanda’s dedication goes beyond her professional achievements. She has spent three years nurturing the next generation of BCBA professionals, guiding and overseeing their fieldwork studies while imparting her extensive knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Her passion lies in working with neurodivergent children and adults, offering unwavering support to families, and championing advocacy initiatives. Specializing in early intervention communication, toilet training, and school readiness skills, Amanda possesses expertise in addressing severe challenging behaviors, life skills, and social skills. Her commitment to making a difference shines through in her work, where she helps individuals build essential life skills and overcome challenges.
Outside of her professional commitments, Amanda finds solace in travel, indulges in her love for shopping, and frequently immerses herself in the great outdoors. At home, she shares her life with two beloved companions, a rescue cat named Khaleesi and a Blue Heeler named Lexie, both of whom have brought immeasurable love and joy into Amanda’s life.
Lisa Brown Owner/BCBA
Lisa Brown is a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) licensed in Oklahoma. Lisa is certified to provide behavior analytic services (ABA) to individuals of all ages and developmental abilities. Lisa has provided ABA services in a variety of settings, including in homes, clinics, and schools. Before becoming a BCBA, Lisa worked as a teacher, providing educational services to children in both the general and special education environments. Lisa’s primary focus at The Behavioral Edge will be working with children and teenagers with autism spectrum disorder as well as with their families and caregivers.
Lisa holds a Master of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Capella University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from West Virginia University at Parkersburg. Lisa is a native of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and spent the majority of her career serving students and families there. Lisa moved to Moore, OK, in the fall of 2021. Early in her career, Lisa realized the significance of behavior on success. Since then, she has been passionate about helping children and families identify, learn about, and maintain socially significant behaviors that will help them achieve lifelong success.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. Lisa also enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking and fishing. Lisa lives in Moore with her fiance, 2 of their children, and their 4 cats.
